Formerly San Juan Island’s Dollars for Scholars program, now San Juan Island Service Scholarship, wanted a website that would allow students to receive messages from counselors and staff, and get quick and up-to-date access to community organization’s opportunities for volunteering. On this site community orgs can log in and post their opportunities on the public calendar and board members and counselors can help scholars keep on task to earn scholarships. A challenging task, I was able to research and try out many different plugins to achieve various access levels and functions needed for the job.
